Crawley Amateur Radio Club
The club is based at hut 18, Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre — the one with the big aerial outside. It meets twice each week on:
- Wednesdays from 19:30 (formal meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month)
- Sundays from 10:30.
The club provides access to hundreds of magazines, tools, broadband internet access, and many types of radio rigs. It runs a radio station, GX3WSC, which is active from VLF through to 23 cm.
Crawley Amateur Radio Club is a registered training centre for Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced licence examinations of the Radio Society of Great Britain, and assists the RSGB in its annual meeting at the Gatwick Worth Hotel.
Fees
- Full membership: £40 per annum
- Low income: £20 per annum
- Family member living at the same address as a Full Member: £20
- Under 16 years old: £10
Membership includes a newsletter in electronic format. Add £5 per annum to receive the newsletter on paper.
Location and Directions
Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre is next to the K2 Leisure Centre. Follow the directions to the K2 Leisure Centre. After leaving the A23, go straight on past the leisure centre.
