Crawley Camera Club welcomes local photographers of all abilities and levels of experience.
Facilities and Activities
Crawley Camera Club’s members benefit from:
- studio facilities
- meetings and practical sessions
- groups for particular interests, such as landscape photography, studio portraiture, and street photography
- competitions, both within the club and involving other camera clubs
- online talks via Zoom
- other activities such as exhibitions
Joining

Meetings
The club meets at Hut 16 in Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 19.45 to about 22.00. The club’s website contains information about forthcoming meetings.
Location and Directions
Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre is on Tilgate Drive, just to the south of the K2 Leisure Centre, and is accessible by car and bus. Car parking is available close to the huts.

Arriving by Car
From the south, follow the A23 towards Crawley. About one mile past Pease Pottage, get in the outside lane and turn right at the traffic lights, with the K2 Leisure Centre in front of you. Almost immediately after going through the lights and leaving the A23, take the narrow road to the right, towards Tilgate Park and the recreation centre huts.
From the north, follow the A23 through Crawley. Look for a roundabout containing a giant football, outside Broadfield Stadium. Go straight on in the left-hand lane, and very soon you will see the K2 Leisure Centre to your left as you approach a set of traffic lights. Turn left at the lights, then immediately follow the narrow road to the right, towards Tilgate Park and the recreation centre huts.
From the M23, leave the motorway at junction 11, Pease Pottage. Get in the right-hand lane on the slip road, follow the roundabout all the way round and join the A23 heading towards Crawley. The K2 Leisure Centre is a little over one mile along on your right, at the first set of traffic lights. Get in the right-hand lane as you approach the lights. Almost immediately after turning right off the A23 at these lights, take the narrow road to the right, towards Tilgate Park and the recreation centre huts.
Arriving by Bus
Several bus routes stop within walking distance of Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre on Monday and Wednesday evenings:
- Metrobus route 2 stops at the K2 Leisure Centre, and calls at Ifield West, Ifield, Langley Green, the town centre, Furnace Green, and Tilgate: www.metrobus.co.uk/services/MB/2.
- Metrobus route 10 stops at Broadfield Stadium, and calls at Bewbush, Broadfield, Tilgate, the town centre, Northgate and Manor Royal: www.metrobus.co.uk/services/MB/10.
- Metrobus route 20 stops at Broadfield Stadium, calling at Pease Pottage, Broadfield, Tilgate, the town centre, Three Bridges, Manor Royal and Horley: www.metrobus.co.uk/services/MB/20.
- In addition, there are limited services in the evenings on Metrobus routes 271 and 273, which stop on the A23 close to the K2 Leisure Centre and call at the town centre, Southgate, Pease Pottage and further south: www.metrobus.co.uk/services/MB/271 and www.metrobus.co.uk/services/MB/273.
