Crawley Open House
Crawley Open House is a hostel and a resource centre for adults who are in need of housing or who suffer from other forms of social exclusion such as unemployment or discrimination.
Hostel
The hostel contains 24 bed-spaces for men and women over the age of 18 who lack housing. Pets are welcome.
Resource Centre
A team of experienced support workers addresses any personal factors which may affect access to housing, including mental health problems, substance abuse, relationship breakdowns, and recent release from hospital or prison.
Advice is available for financial matters such as applying for welfare benefits, managing debt, and improving budgeting, as well as other life skills such as access to training and education.
Opening Hours
The resource centre is open (these details were correct in April 2025):
- Open access and drop-in support, including booking a food parcel or asking about donations: Monday to Friday, 10.00 to 12.30.
- Appointments for support are available: Monday to Friday, 13.00 to 15.00.
- Classes and workshops, which must be booked in advance, are available: Monday to Friday after 13.00.
Donations and Food Parcels
Donations of money are always welcome, and can be made via the website: www.crawleyopenhouse.co.uk/make-a-donation.
Other items that are often required include:
- clean clothes
- clean bedding
- bread
- cereals
- small bottles of water
- long-life milk
- sugar
- tea and coffee
- tinned meat, fish, vegetables, beans, and spaghetti
- dog food and treats
Donated items should be left at the donation area at the front of the resource centre.
